all in a day: Easter

Wow, its been a month.....

Here is what we have been up to this Easter week.

Chloe was such a good big sister and stayed home from baseball games one night to dye Easter eggs with Austin who had been begging all day. Thank goodness for her because boiling the eggs was as far as I got.

Holden and Nic dyed a few before I shewed them off to bed!

A few nights later we went to the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Arizona Temple with our Hatch cousins. The pageant comes highly recommended by me. If your in the area the two weeks prior to Easter you should definitely plan to see it!

On Saturday morning, our neighborhood had an Easter Egg Hunt. Nic, Austin and I went to that while Travis, Holden and Chloe helped at an Eagle Scout service project.

The boys were up at 7:00 a.m. to see if the Easter Bunny had come. We don't have church until 1:00 p.m., so Sundays are my only day to sleep in...I told them they had to wait till 8:00 before we would start. You would have thought it was Christmas morning the way they waited upstairs in the loft til I got out of bed. (They were so loud I didn't get anymore sleep really but I still made them wait, I don't think Chloe was awake either.)

Their Easter baskets were on the end of their beds with one empty egg in each basket, that was their "color" egg to find around the house. The Easter Bunny was not too creative this year but I didn't get a single complaint. Well I take that back, they ALL complained that they were missing Grandma's Easter Egg Hunt! When I was little and we didn't live by any family, so we missed every holiday including Easter, my Grandma Milligan would have an Easter Egg Hunt back in her garden during the summer when all the cousins were around. I told my kids that maybe we could start that tradition with Grandma Adams so I have bagged up all my eggs so that I can bring them to Idaho this summer.:)
